ORACLE

About

During my coursework at the University of Oregon, I’ve had several opportunities to choose real companies to research, analyze, and present on. I’ve consistently chosen Oracle, and this section highlights the projects where I’ve explored its brand, communications, and strategy

This infographic was created for a persuasive design assignment where I positioned Oracle as a compelling investment opportunity through an investor relations lens. Using data from Oracle's recent earnings, I translated complex financial metrics into a digestible visual narrative targeted at investors and shareholders.

Strategic Design Choices:

  • Clear hierarchy flows from top ("Oracle = Smart Tech Investment") through three proof points: unmatched cloud growth (52%), financial strength (>70% margins), and industry leadership ($30B AWS partnership).

  • Visual momentum uses directional arrows and green "growth" accents to guide the eye through the investment thesis.

  • Credibility anchors Larry Ellison's photo and OpenAI partnership callout position Oracle as visionary leadership.

  • IR best practices prioritize backlog/revenue acceleration metrics that drive stock confidence over short-term noise.

IR Takeaway: The design mirrors how agencies like Hoffman would package earnings for tech clients, data-first but human-readable, turning financials into a compelling "buy" story for C-suite and portfolio managers. Created in Canva using Oracle brand colors and real Q1 FY2025 metrics.

PR Newswire Assignment

In this assignment, I analyzed Oracle’s fiscal 2025 Q1 earnings news release and coverage across financial and tech media, focusing on what the results signaled for investors and the broader software market. I identified key financial highlights, like revenue growth, cloud performance, and the AWS partnership, and mapped out how they affect stakeholders such as investors, employees, competitors, and customers. I then evaluated how Oracle used (and underused) its owned channels and proposed a social media strategy to better surface its financial story to stockholders, tech audiences, and younger investors across platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
